Kompass team on tour: Frankfurt founders up close!

Sometimes it’s the unplanned things that have a big impact. “We spontaneously went on a tour of founders from our network and visited them on site,” enthuses Ellen Bommersheim, Managing Director of Kompass Frankfurt.

The Kompass team started the day at Moka Roasters at Oppenheimer Landstraße 19, true to the café bar’s motto: Here, every day starts with a great cup of coffee with family, friends or colleagues.

We continued on to s’ Fachl at Berliner Str. 32, the home of handmade, pretty and creative things. Here, small producers can rent a “Fachl” for their products. Thanks to the wide variety of products in the creative, design and delicatessen sectors, s’ Fachl offers an exciting overall range and an attractive clientele.

The next stop for the Kompass team is butter at Konrad-Broßwitz-Straße 1, a café with baked delicacies by Sina Eichhorn, who realized her vision with this heartfelt project at the beginning of the year. With her canelés, scones and her own breads, the Frankfurt resident by choice and trained journalist delights her customers far beyond Bockenheim.

Not far away, at Linnéstraße 27 in lively Bornheim, Annika Griewisch has realized her dream and opened her Studio Linné this year, where she makes her own ceramics and offers wheel-throwing courses. Here, the Kompass team was able to discover beautiful ceramics and enjoy the special atmosphere of the studio – a place of encounter and inspiration.

Alma Brückmann’s store, the Oständ Store at Sonnemannstraße 73, is also a place of encounter and inspiration. The store in Frankfurt East offers fair products made by women – from fashion to jewelry and ceramics to natural cosmetics. And Alma Brückmann designed her own products, such as the FRANCOFORTE shirt and body chains. A café bar is now to be added to the store opposite the European Central Bank.

Just around the corner, Steffen Voigt, founder of Critical Muay Thai, moved into the premises in Frankfurt’s Ostend district in 2022. What makes it special? Steffan Voigt offers martial arts training with an emancipatory approach in his studio at Henschelstraße 18. “Thai boxing for everyone with humane principles – regardless of training level and previous experience. The focus here is on respect and cooperation.”
